- Children who eat a lot on a regular basis

- Children who suddenly start to eat a lot
Some diseases, such as diabetes, stimulate the appetite without observing an obvious weight gain, so if the child eats more than usual without seeing an imminent increase in weight or height, it is preferable to rule out that there is a reason of health behind consulting the pediatrician.

- Children who are thin and we decided to force them to finish the plate
Forcing to eat is something we must discard. Children, from birth, are - if respect is the priority - capable of determining their needs and acting accordingly, so by forcing them to finish the plate we are encouraging them to become obese in the future.

Therefore, it is vital that, as parents, we observe the behavior of our children with food, Sudden loss of appetite or overeating can be a sign that something is wrong and action may be needed.
